Why Timber Yard Direct Is Relocating In January 2026
After more than 20 years serving Coventry and the wider Midlands, Timber Yard Direct has relocated from Jan2026 from our long-standing Foleshill Road, Coventry base to a new site on Coventry Road near Sapcote, just outside Hinckley. This move allows us to continue offering the same team, same service, and the same great prices, while operating from a location that better suits the way modern timber supply works.
Our previous Coventry site, while central, was limited by local traffic congestion and restricted access for larger vehicles. Our new yard is positioned on a main arterial road with excellent motorway links, away from residential congestion, making it far easier for both trade customers and deliveries. We are sandwiched in between the m69 to the east and the M1 to the west. Coventry Road runs in between Sapcote and Broughton Astley, straight down from Leicester/Narborough/Whetstone/Blaby towards Coventry. This improved access allows us to serve all the same areas as before; Coventry, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Burbage, Earl Shilton, South Leicestershire and Warwickshire more efficiently than ever before.
The new location also gives us a purpose-built shop and yard, designed to properly stock and display our core timber ranges. Customers can now see the quality of the timber in person, whether they’re buying C24 structural timber, carcassing, treated timber, decking boards, fencing materials, railway sleepers, plywood or other sheet materials. Better space and layout mean faster service, clearer product choice, and improved stock availability — all without compromising on price.
Importantly, this is not a change in who we are — just where we’re based. We continue to serve all the same Coventry customers as before, while extending our reach across Leicestershire and the surrounding areas. As a local, independent timber merchant, our focus remains the same: reliable supply, the best pricing, and straightforward service for both trade and the public.
We look forward to making quality timber more accessible to the people of Leicestershire and locally, such as Sharnford, Sapcote, Broughton Astley, Stoney Stanton, Croft, Crosby, Ullesthorpe, Frolesworth and beyond.
