Quality Sourced Softwood Skirting Boards
It may surprise you to know skirting boards have been around since the ancient Greeks and Romans, who used them in very much the same way we do, protecting the base of the walls from chariot damage. Okay, we may not need to concern ourselves with wayward chariots, but we still need to protect the base of our walls from furniture, vacuum cleaners and shoes. Our great range of softwood skirting boards are all made from ethically sourced, durable pine, meaning it is sturdy and easy to paint or finish to your taste. All pieces come in standard sizes but if you need something different, then leave us a note when you check out, including all your measurements, and we will cut your piece to the exact size ready to install.

I have been using these folks for the past couple of years. The name may have changed but the staff have been brilliant.
From the office staff to the driver. The professional approach If they said they will deliver on a day its there. So, I'm not a trader but a DIY guy finishing of his property. I'm hoping after the name change, more trader's will buy from this company and keep them in business.

Got a sheet of MDF for a DIY wall panelling. Much cheaper than these kits at the big stores. I went with the dimensions and cuts. The Person who dealt with me was super helpful and knowledgeable. They also did the cuts for me and even gave me any excess material left over.

Have More Questions About our Timber Skirting and Architrave?

1. Can you deliver to my location?

We offer a fast and free local delivery service with lead times of between two to four days for all customers in a 30-mile radius of our Coventry base. We pre-book the delivery directly with you to ensure convenience, and we deliver ourselves to ensure you receive high-quality softwood skirting and timber architrave products.

2. What lengths are your timber skirting boards sold in?

Most of our softwood skirting board comes in the standard length of 4.5m and is between 2-3” tall. However, we do supply dual-purpose skirting which varies between 3.6m and 5.1m depending on the product. Browse our range of timber skirting boards here and remember, we are more than happy to cut to size our timber supplies if you leave us a note at checkout. Remember to measure twice.

3. What’s the difference between skirting and architraves?

Softwood skirting and timber architrave serve similar purposes only in different areas of a room. Skirting boards are placed between the wall and the floor to protect the wall from scuffs, scratches and dents whilst concealing any gaps or cables. Architraves do the same aesthetic job but between the ceiling and wall and around the frames of windows and doors.

4. Can timber skirting boards be painted and stained?

Absolutely. As all our softwood skirting boards come from pine, they are perfect for you to paint, stain or varnish, allowing you to decorate them as soon as they arrive.

5. Are your timber skirting and architraves made from softwood or hardwood?

All our skirting boards and architraves are made from high-quality pine except for our MDF skirting which is available at 58mm tall pieces.
